HANA Securities (Korea) performes the payment to become a strategic shareholder of BIDV Securities Company (BSC)

Recently, the Vietnamese market has continuously had the escalation of increasing capital race from many securities companies such as SSI, ASC, etc. Not staying out of “the race”, BIDV Securities Company (BSC) has been poured nearly 2,700 billion VND by foreign shareholder Hana Securities (Korea) that raises the equity up to 4,500 billion VND, making it the largest securities company in Vietnam in term of total equity.

The strategic transaction of BSC - Hana Securities is one of the key transactions, continuing to affirm the wide-deep and sustainable strategic cooperation relationship between the two leading financial institutions from Vietnam and Korea - Joint stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Viet Nam (BIDV) and Hana Financial Group of Korea (Hana Financial Group - HFG).

For a capital-intensive field as securities, financial potential is a key factor determining success and the "final shot" – to perform payment of Subscribed shares according to the Share Subscription Agreement with Hana Securities on September 26th (Total Subscription Price nearly VND2,700 billion for 65,730,042 shares, equivalent to a price of VND 41,000/share), BSC will be “added wing” to boost business activities, invest in information technology systems, digital transformation and develop financial services ecosystem comprehensively.
